IRLANDA VELÁSQUEZ: AN EMPOWERED MOTHER
As a single mother of 3 with no support, Irlanda Velásquez has worked very hard to provide for her family. Throughout 9 years Irlanda and her children moved around to different places as they could not afford a place to live in.
INCREASING MEDICAL ATTENTION IN SOMOTO
The Julio Velasquez Planned Community holds shelter for the 160 families who live here since October 2019. To improve the community’s development and alleviate the medical demand in Somoto’s health center, The construction of a health center inside the Julio Velasquez community finished in August of this year.
