A NIGHT TO COOK FOR NICARAGUA

Chef David Melendez is a creative entrepreneur born in Pearl Lagoon, a small island on Nicaragua´s Caribbean Coast. Located in Miami, Florida; David started his personal chef services in 2013 after honorably discharging from the US Navy and receiving both his Associates in culinary Arts and Bachelor´s in Food Service Management from the Culinary Institute of Virginia.

David´s connection to Nicaragua goes further than just a beautiful travel destination with amazing traditions and an extraordinary gastronomy. ANF´s mission statement resonates to him, as he believes in supporting his Nicaraguan brothers and sisters in hand with an organization whose best interest are to protect the people of Nicaragua.

¨ Many of us, including myself, sometimes take so much for granted. We don't realize or understand that things that we see as basic amenities are luxuries in a large part of Nicaragua. I still have a lot of family back home that could use a little help and who depend on organizations like ANF¨.

For ANF´s Together for Nicaragua event at El Novillo in Miami, Florida. Chef David will be supporting ANF by offering a personal chef service in the silent auction. A lucky couple will enjoy a 4-course private dinner prepared in the comfort of their home.
