ENRIQUE: A FATHER WHO GIVES BACK

Enrique Blandino is an exemplary father and small farmer making a positive impact in rural Nicaragua. Since 2019, Enrique has benefited from agricultural training through ANF’s Seeds to Smile Project. Through the project, Enrique’s bean plantation has expanded to become the main source of food for his family of four and others in the community.

Despite the many challenges of rural life—aggravated by the impact of Hurricanes Eta and Iota in 2020— Enrique is giving back to his community. After receiving a 2-acre bean donation and technical training, he has decided to donate 100 pounds of his production to help mitigate hunger in Los Arados, Mozonte.
